About Us

Orchard View Labradoodles is located in the beautiful Yakima Valley in central Washington state. We are an easy drive from Portland or Seattle, but also more than happy to arrange delivery to anywhere within the continental USA. We have puppies in Washington, Oregon, California, Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, New Jersey, Virginia and Canada! We are a registered LLC and licensed business in the state of Washington. We take great pride in the care, attention, stimulation and love we provide our puppies and the relationships with our puppy families we have developed since we began breeding Labradoodles in 2008. We look forward to hearing from you and adding your family to our growing number of happy customers.

Orchard View Labradoodles is a family operation. We are Darin and Kelly Lorton, kids Marcus 20, Jenna 16, Brady 15 and Riley 13. While we all play our part, Kelly is the heart of Orchard View Labradoodles. The kids are called on to help and Darin has his morning routine with the dogs, but Kelly is the decision maker, web designer, customer service agent, whelping assistant, nurse, travel coordinator, food specialist, trainer, social director, and most importantly, lover of all canines.

 
Our Home :)

Our adult Doodle dogs enjoy days playing outside in their quarter acre of fenced play yard. Our dogs are active, athletic dogs that enjoy running and playing with toys and jumping in the water during the summer when the days are warm. They are also just as happy to lay around the kitchen and living room when they are indoors. Each breeding dog has their own crate located in one of our bedrooms where they sleep at night and during the day for naps. Their schedule revolves around our family schedule, when we wake they wake and when it's time for bed they all go to their crates.


Our Back Yard

All of our Labradoodle puppies are born and raised in the master bedroom in our home. This allows Kelly to supervise the whelping moms and provides safety and privacy for the new litter. When the puppies turn two weeks old, they are moved to our living room where they are cared for, held and played with by all the members of the family. It's not unusual to see a teenager watching TV with a sleeping puppy in their arms. :) At six weeks of age, the puppies are moved to the kitchen/dining room area where they will learn to use the litter box and begin their early crate training. On mild winter days and in the spring and summer, our puppies have access to a covered porch that is right off the kitchen. We also have a ramp attached to the porch that allows them to go down to the grass and play in the kiddie pool and romp around safely. They learn very quickly to use the ramp to go potty in the grass. The whelping and play areas have been carefully set up to allow maximum safety, socialization and interaction with the puppies as they are raised and also provide the space they need to grow, learn and experience different environments.

Our family enjoys spending time working together around our home and attending our kids' various sports and church activities. The children we are blessed with and our relationships with them are our first priority. We also believe that our actions as people and business owners should display the principles of our Christian faith. We offer our commitment to always dealing with you with integrity and honesty.
