Welcome to Orchard View Labradoodles!

Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Haiti and the relief workers there. In response to this tragedy, we will be donating the proceeds from the sale of one of our puppies from the next litter whelped here at Orchard View Labradoodles. We will choose one lucky puppy to be named Haiti and when he/she is adopted, we will make our donation to the Salvation Army . This is just one, small way that we can help.

Our 2010 Litter Plans have been announced.
We are accepting applications for our Spring litter of Standard size, F1 Labradoodles in shades of Apricot and Red!

Orchard View Labradoodles is located in the beautiful Yakima Valley in central Washington state. Our family of six people and four dogs resides on two acres with lots of grass and trees. We are located just outside of the town of Zillah near the historic Teapot Dome. The local area is surrounded by dairy farms, vineyards, pastures of cattle and orchards, but is easily found right off Interstate 82.

Our adult dogs enjoy days playing outside in their quarter acre of fenced play yard. For security, we have outdoor kennels located in a small, secure fenced area for the times when we are gone for more than a few hours. Our dogs are active, athletic dogs that enjoy running and playing with toys and jumping in the water when the days are warm. They are also just as happy to lay around the kitchen and living room when they are indoors. One of them is usually in charge of following me around the house during the day, just to make sure I don't escape out a window when they're not looking!

All of our puppies are born and raised in the whelping room in our home. This room is right off of our kitchen and is separated by a half wall for easy observation of mom and pups. The puppies enjoy a few hours a day outside to play if the weather permits, but spend the majority of the time in the puppy room or the kitchen. This system allows me to spend unlimited time with them and still take care of household duties while they nap.
Kind of like raising children!

Hana- F1b from Maggie X Bo

We breed ONLY Labradoodles because we LOVE them!
We do not produce any other breed of dog. When you visit us, you will find Labs, Poodles and Labradoodles in our home. We don't just breed "Designer Dogs"...we breed the best dog we've ever known...the LABRADOODLE!

Our Labradoodles are Labrador Retriever/Poodle cross ONLY!
We do not mix any other breeds into our program. We feel the Lab/Poodle hybrid retains the family-friendly energy of the Lab that is so loved, along with the intuitive, intelligent nature of the Poodle. This mixture of characteristics produces a low to non-shedding, versatile, family-oriented companion that suits practically any family situation! If you're interested in an Australian Labradoodle, we do know several excellent breeders we can recommend.

Our breeding program consists of Bo, a Standard Poodle Male; Rosie, a Labrador Retriever Female; and Maggie, an F1 Labradoodle Female. I have raised each of these dogs from pups and they have produced wonderful puppies.

We are also excited about our up and coming girls! In September 2008, we welcomed Marlee, an F1b female that we retained from Bo and Maggie's litter. She will be producing Black, Chocolate and possibly Creme F2 or F3 Labradoodles in 2010 as long as all of her future health testing goes well. In April 2009, Alice was born to Rosie and Bo and now lives in a wonderful guardian home nearby. She is an Apricot F1 and she'll be producing Creme and Chocolate F1b Labradoodles in late 2010 after all her health testing is completed.

We Specialize in Standard Size Labradoodles!
Your puppy will mature to be about 22-24" tall and weigh around 55-65 lbs.
I do not raise mini Labradoodles!
Healthy and proportioned first or second generation Labradoodles should range in size from 21"-25" tall and 45-65 lbs. A concientious breeder will breed similar sizes, gradually reducing the outcome of the matings over several generations to reduce the incidence of malproportioned puppies. Be assured, you will not find any miniature or toy poodles in my breeding program!
